Eat to Win for the 21st century - Robert Haas, MS It is listed as a Sports Nutrition Bible - but it is also a great education to help anyone (even the couch potato who has decided today is the day to get up and start moving).
Marilu Henner's Total Health Makeover She is a vegetarian. However, don't let that scare you... the information in this book is eye opening and after researching what she has brought - I have yet to find something that isn't completely accurate.
Journey Into Power - Baron Baptiste Very motivating! A good read.
The purpose of reading any of these books isn't to convert the reader immediately to the lifestyle that these authors are suggesting. The purpose of the books are to keep a list of ideas that WORK. The more 'healthy body' and 'healthy mind' related books that are read the more the mind starts to change and this helps a person to start thinking healthy thoughts. Exploring ideas and altering perceptions.
I strongly urge everyone to visit their physician before beginning an exercise program or changing their diet.

All the information about hypnosis, nutrition, or behavior, that I offer here are based on my own ideas from the information I have acquired and have found effective. I encourage you…find what works for you. Keep trying and adapting until you find the right fit. Dedicate yourself to your own growth, which then leads to great freedom. The ultimate goal is to be strong and fit - mentally and physically. Awakening your inner spirit. You have the power inside of you to make the difference in your own life. The only question is “Are you willing to go for it?” You already know what to do! Explore the information available here…but don’t stop there. Become heated…motivated…on fire for information that can take you to the next level. Think health. Do things that move you toward that goal…such as reading/researching (never settle for other peoples opinions, even mine), eating the right foods, exercising and relaxing. About Me!
My name is Donna Carter and I am a Hypnotherapist. This blog will have posts ranging from nutrition (because it alters behavior), information on behavior (and all of its weirdness), and how to positively change behavior. I like to share all useful information. Information I want to remember as well as information I have come across that I think might be helpful to others. Education is the first step to change. This blog is also being used in conjunction with my health/behavior workshops. Helping people make a transition from an unhealthy life (mentally, physically, or spiritually) to a healthy life. Many of us on the journey to health have road blocks along the way and by working together we can get around those obstacles. It is nice to get ideas that can help motivate us; to find ways to accomplish our goals and live a happy life. My first love is psychology and behavior in general. I love behavior. Good, bad, weird, normal…I love all behavior. I am extremely talented at using Hypnosis (list of benefits on this website) and I am currently perfecting my usage of NLP. My other area of expertise is operant conditioning, how it is used with people (to improve sports performance, the physically challenged to acquire basic skills, as well as how to get the best behavior from children in all situations) and with animals (clicker training).
